Dating apps — you gotta love them! For one or another reason if you have been single long enough you will end up on a dating app. I lost my dating-app virginity quite late, and close to 40, it was a shocking revelation of another form of human connection.
I know there are people who find their soulmates on dating apps, they get married and they have cute babies together. I know people who find their expectations of quick hookups. I know people — and I am one of them — who find more friends than dates.
It’s all promising and good. This is the world we live in. This is how we connect. This is what we have time for.
But there is one phenomenon, that no one could have prepared me for. Sure as hell it caught me off-guard.
