When I started writing almost 11 months ago, I didn’t have any expectations. I didn’t know what to expect — to be precise. I started it only because I had a story in me that desperately wanted to get out and bugged me until I sat down and wrote it.

It wasn’t the catalyst for my whole writing journey.

I didn’t want to become a writer — I didn’t think I could. I didn’t want to make money off it — again, I didn’t think it was possible and to be honest, I didn’t even care. I didn’t really know what to expect; if anyone out there would read me or not — but it didn’t matter one bit.

I started to write because I wanted to find an outlet to my thoughts and feelings that had to be processed in one way or another.

I started it small and sustainable. I decided that I would publish one article for 30 days — just to see what happens. Just to see if I can do it, if I have the grit and persistence in me.

I didn’t want to write well. I didn’t expect readers to flood in. I didn’t expect people to notice.

I just wanted to try — it was nothing but an experiment, a test, a challenge for myself.
