How to Appreciate Fellow Writers in the New MPP System

New etiquette in writing groups

When I started to write on Medium a little over six months ago, I didn’t exactly know what was I getting myself into. I had been lurking around for months, before I decided to try out writing and publishing.

I have blogged before, mainly about my parenting experiences – but it was just for friends and family and except for my mum, my readers quickly got bored. I stopped doing it soon enough and I had no intention of restarting it – ever.

Until I did.

I started to write and publish, this was new. I started to open up about my most vulnerable experiences, this was new too. And I became part of writing communities on Facebook, to help each other, support each other, advise each other, read each other. This was the best perk to becoming a writer.

The writing community soon became my go-to place for both professional and personal rants and celebrations, as the people there know exactly what I am going through, writing on Medium.

I found friends and made close connections with people from all over the globe. We are in it together through thick and thin.
