How to Become Someone People Want to Be Around
Flex your empathy muscles more often
Even if evolution hard-wired us to be social, it is not always easy to find the right people to be around. Our world is too fast, our connections tend to be too shallow, our priorities are so numerous that we forget the most important thing. The people around us are our lifelines and our key to happiness.
We crave trust yet we refuse to give it easily. We are so busy that we forget to relax and just live. We raise the bar high for ourselves in our eternal quest for success and productivity, increasing the pressure on everyone else. We fix our eyes on distant dreams and we fail to see the little things around us that make life worth living. We relentlessly look for the right people to surround ourselves with, but we forget to become the right person for others.
If you ever wished you had a better connection with those around you, you need to become the person who you want others to be.
Here are a few ways to use empathy to become someone others want to be around.
